'Untitled' - Performance Installaton

I am a conceptually based artist with practices ranging from site specific installation and performance to illustrative poetry, taking inspiration from constantly looming social issues. Audience participation and interaction often reflects on how my work progresses, constantly steering my ideas in directions unknown to myself. I currently study and practice in Leeds, having previously studied and worked in Estonia. My contribution to this 1978 exhibition is a performance piece which is a continuation of a previous performance 'Manual Labour'.

I recently did a foreign exchange in Estonia and did my first performance piece there, this involved myself collecting dirt and applying this to the wall with my bare hands whilst encouraging an audience to ask me personal questions about my adoption, family and birthplace. It worked really well especially with the language barrier, however I would like to do a continuation of this project throughout the duration of the shows opening and there after play video footage. In this version I'd need to ensure the audience would have more encouragement and ideal questions to provoke conversation, I was thinking about ideas included in the 1940's film 'love on the dole', set in Salford, as it reflects a lot of contemporary issues.
