For the show I have adapted my interests in contemporary fashion and fashion photography to create a two piece suit inspired by the art work of John Squire with The Stone Roses. By combining my own practice with the work of another (Squires) I hope to have created a contemporary piece (documented in various media) to ‘update’ the action painting technique used by Squire in the 80’s.

'Untitled' - Photography
As an artist I think it is important to constantly explore different medias and outcomes. My work is highly versatile, ranging from short animations to face castings. Every project allows for exploration and experimentation. My passion for photography has lead me around the world documenting different cultures. Each country has brought a new perspective on art and it’s creation. Capturing a diverse group of people and landscapes. For the show I have combined influences of art, music and fashion into my instillation. The use of vinyls in my work are reflective of the Manchester scene, with influential musical movements such as Post Punk, Acid House, Brit Pop and the infamous Factory Records having roots in the city. The words sprayed across the records ‘play me’ and ‘wear me’ are playful and yet ironic.
